The Importance of Traveling By Motorcoach
Since the 1800’s, public forms of transportation have existed within society. This dates back to the 1820’s when horse-drawn buses were being used for public transportation. Ten years later there were regular intercity bus services that ran by steam-powered buses. Now, motorcoach traveling in a bus is one of the most popular forms of public transportation and with good reason.
Motorcoaches account for 751 million passenger trips annually, moving more people in some years than commercial airlines do. This may seem like an unreal statistic but that can only be so if you live in an area that does not feature these kinds of busies. The motorcoach industry is made up of nearly 3,400 mostly small businesses. The total industry fleet of 33,400 vehicles provides charter, tour, sightseeing, airport shuttle, commuter, and scheduled services.
There are plenty of reasons why motorcoach companies and the services that they provide is so important.
